Jump on the plane and surf with us at Fistral Beach, Newquay in Cornwall

Connecting Celtic Cousins with the re-launch of flights between Cardiff and Newquay, Cornwall the surf capital of Europe

Skybus_operating_flights_to_newquay The news that Cardiff will once again be connected with Cornwall by an air route has been greeted with interest and enthusiasm. The route, to be re-launched on March 10th 2008, will be serviced by Skybus, Cornwall’s very own airline.

Cutting more than three hours from the journey by road, the light aircraft will take just 40 minutes to fly from Cardiff to Newquay in Cornwall. Flights to Newquay will be departing Cardiff five times a week, Monday through to Friday at a cost of just £45 one way (inc taxes).

Cornwall has so much to offer year round. From relaxing garden breaks in spring, to family holidays in the summer, adrenalin fuelled autumn getaways to storm watching winter weekends.

Taking a short break in Cornwall is so much more than pasties and clotted cream, although you’ll still find that’s what you want. Sample a taste of paradise at Jamie Oliver’s inspired Fifteen Cornwall restaurant. Just ten minutes form the airport, overlooking the setting for ITV1 Drama Echo Beach, Watergate Bay.

Cornwall is a haven for walkers. The spectacular coastal footpath, which takes you around the entire coastline of Cornwall, is a challenge well worth considering, especially as you can do it in sections stopping off in any number of traditional pubs en route to rest your feet.

Watersports are big in Cornwall, surfers, Kite Surfers and Wave Skiers are all regulars on the beaches. Take some time out to watch as they battle monster waves and leap 15ft in the air as their kite pulls them from the sea. What better way to enjoy the extreme sports than with a mug hot chocolate in hand watching from the shore? If getting wet is more you thing then there are, many places for you to hire a board and hit the waves.

Online booking is available at www.skybus.co.uk.

That's pretty cool. I really enjoy the beaches at Newquay. And their Newquay holiday accommodations are awesome too.
